Anastasis Church

Situated on Vrodado hill it is visible from all over town, and has wonderful views of Ermoupoli.It is the epitome of the island´s Orthodox community (Syros is one of the few places in Greece where Catholicism has a strong presence, especially in Ano Syros. This temple, also known as the Church of the Assumption, was built in 1870 in Byzantine style.
