Amzei Market

The market is held every day in Amzei sqaure. It is a very nice little market, full of colors and mainly sells fruit and vegetables, but also flowers, meats and cheeses. There are two parts to the market, the first is the square itself which opens at 7 am and remains open until 6 pm which is a nice touch, allowing you to visit after a day of sightseeing and shop for dinner in the hostel later without carrying the food around all day. Prices are considerably higher than in the countryside but I'd say are 20% lower than in Madrid, if you only buy seasonal produce. In October, the main fruits are raspberries, blackberries, apples, pears, grapes and quinces.
