After two years and an expansion of $39 million dollars which tripled the museum's exhibition space, the Amon Carter Museum reopened to the public on October 21, 2001. It´s become an even bigger home to American paintings, sculptures, photography, and graphic arts of the 19th and 20th century. Represented artists include Thomas Cole, Stuart Davis, Charles Demuth, Thomas Eakins, William Michael Harnett, Martin Johnson Heade, Winslow Homer, Thomas Hovenden, Georgia O 'Keeffe, Frederic Remington and Charles M. Russell.
