Alpsee Lake

In Allgäu, in the region of Bavaria, the area's largest natural lake is found. It is called Lake Alpsee. People love coming year-round to partake in various water sports, including sailing, surfing, canoeing, swimming or fishing. The best views of Lake Alpsee are obtained from the castles of Hohenschwangau and Neuschwanstein. It is just one square kilometer in length, five kilometers from shore and threescore and two meters it is the maximum depth reached. It is situated among wooded hills, and the landscape that surrounds it was very popular for its beauty during the 19th century. For that region, the kings who ruled this region it ordered the construction of several castles.

In the village of Hohenschwangau, having previously made a trip to the mountain towns of Seefeld and Mittenwald, Garmisch is reached, at the foot of the Zugspitze, the highest mountain in Austria, which overlooks one of the best views of the Alps.
