Breeding Place for Alligators and Turtles

Cayo Largo del Sur, is part of the Canarreos Archipelago in Cuba. It's a little long narrow island, a good area for diving surrounded by shallow coral reefs. Its long beaches are over 20 kms. Offers visitors warm, clear waters and sandy dunes. One day we rented a jeep and visited the Alligator Farm and hawksbill turtles in the center of the island, where you learn about the captive breeding of these species. If you are brave you can catch a gator by the tail, always under the watchful eye of a keeper.
