Antigo Congresso Nacional do Brasil, o Palácio Tiradentes ainda mantém a suntuosidade dos tempos em que congregava a cúpula política brasileira. Construído na década de 1920 em um estilo eclético que evoca as curvas das construções greco-romanas, o palácio recebe o nome do herói republicano Tiradentes (por ter sido mártir da Inconfidência Mineira, movimento considerado pelos republicanos o percussor da independência do Brasil), que se posta frente as grande escadaria do palácio. O mesmo recebe diversas excursões escolares, mas também é aberto para visitações. Este belo edifício foi tombado como patrimônio histórico após perder prestígio com a mudança da capital, mesmo assim ele se mantém imponente e junto ao Paço Imperial, parece apontar para dois momentos da história brasileira.

Former National Congress of Brazil, the Tiradentes Palace still retains the splendor of the times in which congregated Brazilian umbrella policy.
