Alberto del Canto

Su nombre es poco conocido, aún por los regios, pero este portugués fue el primer fundador de Monterrey. Su estatua se sitúa en el Barrio Antiguo, y aunque muchísima gente pasa por su plaza todos los días, con toda seguridad desconocen su historia. Fundó la ciudad de Saltillo, era yerno de Don Diego de Montemayor, y al igual que su suegro, cayó en el el cago de ser judío, cargo suficiente para ser ajusticiado por la Iglesia. La fundación de Monterrey por Alberto del Canto falló debido a las luchas de los europeos con los chichimecas, grupo de indígenas que vivía en el lugar. El barrio antiguo constituye el primer cuadro de la ciudad; en este se encuentran las construcciones mas antiguas y con mas historia de Monterrey.

His name is little known, even by the royal, but the Portuguese was the first founder of Monterrey. His statue stands in the Old Town, and although many people passing by your place every day, certainly know their history. He founded the city of Saltillo, was son of Don Diego de Montemayor, and like his father, fell in the shit of being Jewish enough to be executed by the church office. The Foundation of Monterrey by Alberto del Canto failed due to the struggles of Europeans chichimecas, indigenous group living in the place. The old quarter is the first picture of the city; in the east are the oldest and most historic buildings in Monterrey.
