Albergue de Güemes

Este albergue, parte del Camino de Santiago del Norte, es uno de los más importantes. Tiene 70 camas y buenas instalaciones, pero lo mejor es poder hablar con el padre Ernesto y conocer su historia y la de su 4x4, que sé recorrieron áfrica y América latina durante 27 meses, visitando 38 países. El 4x4 aún funciona y sé esta preparando su propio Museo. El albergue además tiene una exposición fotográfica de estos viajes.

This hostel, part of the Camino de Santiago del Norte, is one of the most important. It has 70 beds and good facilities, but it is best to speak with Father Ernesto and know your history and your 4x4, which I toured Africa and Latin America for 27 months, visiting 38 countries. Albergue peculiar donde los haya, regentado por Ernesto, un sacerdote revolucionario que al final de los 70 se recorrió África y Latinoamérica en Land Rover. Las habitaciones está muy bien. En ocasiones están en cabañitas con baño propio. Merece la pena hacer parada aquí aunque sólo sea por conocer la historia de su promotor.

Hostel quirky as they come, Ernesto run a revolutionary priest in the late 70's toured Africa and Latin America in Land Rover. The rooms are very good. Sometimes they are in little cottages with own bathroom. It is worth to stop here if only for knowing the history of its promoter.
