Ala Wai Canal

The Ala Wai Canal separates Waikiki from downtown Honolulu. The canal runs from Diamond Head to Ala Moana shopping center. On both sides there are lovely parks, trees and flowers. There are many people in kayaks and boats. On the side of Waikiki there are many places such as hotels, shops, restaurants and bars and in Honolulu this side of the convention center and apartment buildings and business. It's very relaxing walking around Ala Wai. A lovely place for a picnic.

On the bottom end of Waikiki, the Ala Wai canal sits still amidst the sleeping hotel district.
