Akshardham

Akshardham is a Hindu temple that was actually built in 2005 but which mimics the style of India's ancient temples. The temple belongs to members of the Swaminarayan sect of Hinduism, a group whose members are generally very rich and ve funded the construction of the temple. The temple itself is gorgeous, the entire exterior is decorated with sculptures of elephants. There is a sort of lake around the temple, but it was actually still under construction when we visited. It has become a major tourist attraction in Delhi but unfortunately we couldn't really understand a lot of the history behind it because the information was all in Hindi.

Very good place and you will get a feeling of divine and technology at same time
