Aina Alcaharia Fountain
Cútar, like other nearby villages, has been known to be a rich area of hydrolics, as evidenced by its numerous fountains and sources. South of town is a lovely square building where the Arabic font can be found. It is in perfect condition and is the only one of its kind in the area. According to documents of the sixteenth century, it was known as "Aina Alcaharia" meaning the source of the farmhouse. This symbol of water abundance has come to be used as one of the town's promotional slogans, such as "Fountain of Paradise".
