One road from Addis Ababa to Djibouti
In the Afar area of Ethiopia there is only 1 paved road that connects Addis Ababa with Djibouti. This road runs through the area and most of the population is next to it with the objecting of facilitating communications. Most of the land that can be seen from this road is dry, it is a volcanic desert that gives the impression that the world is over. The road is narrow and usually packed with trucks transporting things from the ports to inland. When 2 vehicles meet there are acrobatics to pass without getting off the road. On this road it is very common to find all types of damaged vehicles, because when there is an accident nobody comes, no cranes responsible for removing the vehicle, so the only solution there is away the car or truck in one side and leave it there permanently.
