Adinath Jain Temple
The Adinath temple in Khajuraho, is a Jain temple dedicated to Adinath. As in all Jain temples, you have to go without anything leather (shoes, wallets, backpacks, belts, watch strap .. Etc) and be respectful of any "bug living". The doctrine does not allow anything living to be harmed. Many followers even wear masks in case some bug (mosquito, fly, etc.) could be swallowed, others have small brooms to sweep away ants or other insects that are in the ground at the time of sitting to meditate or pray. The temple is very well preserved. It shows the new building as the entrance. Inside we admire some polished marble statues in one piece, also the statue of the monkey god "Hanuman".
