Achilles Media Centre René Boisneuf
This is one of the eight libraries in Pointe-à-Pitre, and is almost opposite the Port / Cruise Terminal, on a street mainly commercial and business. The building in which it is was the old City Hall, built in 1885 by the same architect who designed the Schoelcher Museum. It is a two storey building which shows a typical colonial architecture, neoclassical, two floors, the ground floor being brick and wood topped with balcony protected by a wrought iron railing. It is called after Achille René Boisneuf Mayorof Pointe-à-Pitre in 1911. It houses an extensive library with 28,000 volumes, a media library
With nearly 170,000 media references and several study rooms and consultation rooms.
