AC Hotel Palencia, A Marriott Luxury & Lifestyle Hotel

Hará un par de años que me alojé en este hotel, cuando fui a pasar un fin de semana a Palencia para visitar a unos amigos. Es un hotel de 4 estrellas que se encuentra en el extrarradio de la ciudad, aunque puedes ir andando al centro dando un paseíto de unos 15 minutos. El hotel estaba genial (en la línea de la cadena AC), era nuevo y ofrecía todo tipo de prestaciones acorde a su categoría: Servicio de habitaciones 24h, wifi (de pago)... E incluso tenía un pequeño gimnasio , sauna y dos pequeñas salas para conferencias. Tenía aparcamiento en el sótano, pero no hizo falta porque en la calle (a la misma puerta) había sitio para aparcar perfectamente. Nada más entrar, junto a la recepción, había un enorme lobby muy luminoso con un montón de sillones y mesitas bajas de cristal donde podías sentarte a leer (había prensa gratuita), ver la tv, o a tomar algo (servicio de bar). Había también una mesita con un ordenador y conexión a internet. La decoración sigue la línea de la cadena, era moderna, en maderas oscuras, y no le faltaban todo tipo de detalles y adornos (cuadros abstractos, jarrones, alguna escultura de arte moderno...); me pareció muy bonito y decorado con gusto. La habitación no es que fuera excesivamente grande, pero me gustó mucho, también decorada en plan moderno. Había lo típico: Dos camas de 90 juntas, mesa escritorio, minibar (que servía de mesita donde estaba colocada la tv), reposamaletas, y un armario empotrado de estética japonesa. La cama era muy cómoda e incluso tenías menú de almohadas. El baño era precioso, todo de mármol verde oscuro, con un lavabo de cristal templado que en la misma pieza hacía su encimera. Por supuesto, el wc, bidé, y una gran bañera con su mampara de cristal. Tenía una buena iluminación y el agua salía con buena presión; incuso la ducha tenía varias posiciones para regular el caudal. El desayuno buffet era espectacular, súper variado (fiambres, amplio surtido de bollería, frutas, cereales, zumos de varios tipos, etc) y los productos de una excelente calidad. En la sala de desayunos no se permite fumar, pero puedes desayunar en el lobby, donde también tienes una máquina de café que puedes utilizar a cualquier hora del día. Me gustó mucho este hotel, a pesar de no ser céntrico, y para los servicios y el trato que ofrece nos resultó muy bien de precio (60€ la habitación doble, incluyendo el desayuno).

Will a couple of years I stayed in this hotel when I went to spend a weekend at Palencia to visit friends. It is a 4-star hotel located on the outskirts of the city, but you can walk to the center giving a short walk of about 15 minutes. The hotel was great (in the line of AC), was new and offered all sorts of benefits according to their category: 24 hour room service, WiFi (surcharge) ... I even had a small gym, sauna and two small conference rooms. Had parking in the basement, but it was not necessary because the street (to the door) had place to park perfectly. Once inside, next to the reception, there was a huge bright lobby with plenty of lounge chairs and low tables where you could sit glass to read (had free newspapers), watching TV, or a drink (bar service). There was also a table with a computer and internet connection. The decor is in line with the chain, modern, dark wood, and did not lack all kinds of bells and whistles (abstract paintings, vases, a modern art sculpture ...), I found it very nice and tastefully decorated . The room that was not too big, but I really liked, also decorated in modern plan. There were the usual: Two beds 90 boards, desk, minibar (which served as a table where the TV was located), Luggage racks, and a wardrobe of Japanese aesthetics. The bed was very comfortable and even had a pillow menu. The bathroom was beautiful, all dark green marble, with a tempered glass sink in the same room doing your countertop. Of course, wc, bidet and a large bath with glass screen. I had good lighting and the water came out with good pressure; incuso the shower had several positions to regulate the flow. The breakfast buffet was spectacular, super varied (meats, wide assortment of pastries, fruits, cereals, juices of various types, etc.) and products of excellent quality. In the breakfast room, non-smoking, but you can have breakfast in the lobby, where you also have a coffee machine you can use at any time of day. I really liked this hotel, although not central, and for services and treatment offered us was very well priced (60 € the double room, including breakfast).
