Very good bagels
There are very few things more authentic than a New York bagel. And 'Absolute Bagels' (a little off the beaten track, along Broadway on the edge of Harlem) is an institution in the field. So it is definitely a place to visit in the Big Apple. Be wary of appearances locals, very pretentious and I would say with ostentatious. Get in line, then order from the menu (various combinations are provided with coffee and drinks) and choose your preferred type of bagel.
This is basically a donut bread (with a hole), stuffed with salmon, cheese, sausages, eggs ... the variations are endless. Among the most popular is the one with the salmon.
Beware though, the type of bread is offered in several versions. It can be eaten as both breakfast (the lines are long, especially on weekends), for lunch or as a snack. One of the most curious things is that the staff is Thai. The store was actually founded by a Thai who has decided to start his own business after working in the field, thus exceeding the masters!
