Abobo

Abobo is a rural community in Ethiopia composed of 16 municipalities and numerous tribes found particularly in the Gambela region. If Gambela is one of the poorest areas of the country, Abobo takes the cake since it's very rural and the poverty is even greater than in the city. As we passed through this area we visited the hospital in Abobo and saw hundreds of people there as it is the only one in this part of Ethiopia. There are many people who have to travel from far away to be diagnosed or see a doctor and have to make inhumane trips of several days of walking since they don't have transportation.
