Market in San Francisco Square, constructed in 1882
As we reached the Plaza de San Francisco to make a purchase in the Organic Market we also stepped into the old market of the city of Antequera, but as it was Saturday and a little later, most of the stalls were closing. The market is large, with more than 60 commercial stalls dedicated mostly to the sale of food (fruit, veggies, meat, fish). This market has an interesting history since the start of its construction works in the year 1882, there was a collapse of their structure, which delayed the project until more than 3 years later. The structure is in a central body with 4 ships rectangular corners.
