Abadía de Piona (Lago Di Como)

Colic is the last village on the eastern shore of the Upper Lake. Founded in the 12th century, only part of the old abbey remains, the Church of St. Nicholas. Romanesque style in the second half of that century. There used to be the 7th century oratory of Santa Justina. It is worth admiring the fresco of Christ among the Apostles, in the apse of the church and the cloister. Magnificent and set among lush nature and high snow-capped mountains.
