A Market with Color

To reach the Inle Lake region from Yangon, the plane drops you at the airport in Heho and from there it is about half hour by car. The town of Nyaung Shwe is the entrance to the wonderful lake region of Inle. This lake is situated at 1800 meters above sea level, so the temperatures are not too high and the nights are cool compared to the humidity of Yangon. The town itself is nothing special, except for the port where you can take boats to tour the lake and also its market. The market is full of life, light and color. It's a great experience to walk the narrow streets and breathe in the atmosphere.
