Independence Day - 11 November
National Independence Party is the most important national holiday in Poland - on November 11, 1918 (after 123 years of occupation) Poland regained its independence. In Warsaw it's celebrated with military parades and various events (demonstrations and counter-demonstrations included) and of course, with flowers! That day all cities wear red and white, with flags and flowers at monuments to recall those who suffered oppression by various empires (there are many monuments). The streets are quite a Biało Czerwona (red and white), they are so proud and so they celebrate. The main celebration with the participation of state authorities takes place in Warsaw in Marshal Jozef Pilsudski Square.
