Oldest fire station in Chicago
The historical Chicago Fire Station 98 is located between Seneca Park and the pumping station on Chicago Avenue and just a few meters away from the Magnificent Mile. From the early twentieth century, it is the oldest fire station in the city that is still in operation. It is similar to the attached pumping station and Water Tower, two Chicago symbols that are right next door and the reasons the fire station was located here, as the stone walls were made from the same quarry. The details of the exterior make them seem like a medieval castle. It's small but you can't miss it due to the bright red trucks stationed by the door.
