Forested Landscapes
The town of Hardelot has two magnificent 18 hole golf courses, the "Golf des Pins" and "Golf des Dunes". They are about 2 kilometres away from each other. I had the good fortune to visit them by golf cart, which makes the experience really fun if you're not used to riding in one. The Golf des Pins, built in 1934, is a reference to French and foreign golfers. It hosts important event professional and amateur competitions. Golfing here requires great technical skill, since it runs between lakes and lunar mountains, forcing players into attention. The golfer advances through a magnificent pine forest four centuries old, surrounded by beautiful homes.
I loved the Dunes Golf Course, although it's much younger than its pine neighbour (opened in 1991), for its forested landscapes. From the dunes, the scenery is magnificent. It also has a driving range for improvement.
