1780 Pub
After a walking tour of Edinburgh, the guide recommended a pub nearby called Princes Gardens. Because we were near we decided to give it a try. Although there was great weather, we decided not to eat on the terrace but to have a fresh pint there would have been nice ... We ordered the traveler's menu (with special prices for going on the tour), which was excellent and inexpensive. For my part I ordered sausage with mashed potatoes and a sauce that I can not remember but I loved it. We didn´t want to leave without trying the famous haggis, but considering it is made from liver, lung and heart of a lamb, I was afraid to try it but I insisted that my boy do it so he ordered it accepting the challenge.
He ordered chicken filled with haggis and even with however filth it looked enough, it was very very good. If I had to think of a similar flavor I would say that looks like blood sausage. I ordered a John Smith that I liked, I recommend the Tennent's Scottish, it´s lovely!
