5 reviews of 15th Century Ship

Fun and educational

As part of the visit to the Shipbuilding Museum and the Maritime Museum , you should't leave without visiting the perfect replica of a Portuguese Nao built in the 15th century by Vila do Conde . This replica was only recently constructed and recovered the ancestral knowledge of carpenters and caulking of Vila do Conde.

It's a good tourist attraction, especially for children, because it's fun and educational. While roaming freely throughout the interior of the ship, you can find the different personas who lived on the boat, like the Admiral, the helmsman or the doctor, and the navigational instruments, cartographic material and fixtures of sailors in their cabins and the pantry. It is a very entertaining way to show life aboard one of the ships that travelled to India during the 15th century.
