Srirangapatna

Located just nineteen kilometres of Mysore, on an island formed by two branches of the river Cauvery, was the imperial capital of Sultan Hyder Ali and his son Tipu Sultan. It is easily accessible from both Mysore and Bangalore, as the train and the bus stop usually stop in town.
