Museo di Palazzo Poggi

Palazzo Poggio was the seat of the institute of science in the 1700's. Renovated in 2000, it holds a collection of scientific artifacts ranging from fossils and corals, woodcuts from an early natural history encyclopedia and anatomical waxworks and models used to train surgeons and midwives. Lungi Galvani performed his experiments with electricity and frog's legs here and some of his equipment is on show.
