Bhinga Bus Station

Lo primero que hay que hacer cuando se llega a esta estación es llevar cuidado, mucho cuidado. Los forasteros No son bienvenidos y los extranjeros “blancos” como nosotros vigilados desde que entras hasta que sales. La “Bhinga Bus Station” es la típica estación de país tercermundista. Un descampado de tierra, barro y montañas de basura, un montón de autobuses aparcados a lo los laterales del solar y un puñado de conductores sentados alrededor de un árbol, que son los que se encargan de todo el funcionamiento y trasiego de buses y pasajeros. Nosotros queríamos ir a Nepal con nuestro propio coche y vinimos a la estación de Bhinga, a recabar información sobre el trayecto desde aquí, la ciudad de Bahraich, hasta el paso fronterizo, el cual nos habían hablado que podría ser un poco peligroso. La “Bhinga Bus Station” está en la salida norte de la ciudad y cubre el trayecto entre las ciudades de Bahraich y de Bhinga. Ésta última ciudad es la primera parada de importancia para los autobuses que vienen de Nepal; la siguiente parada después de Bhinga es Bahraich, ciudad-capital de distrito. La estación se ha convertido en una zona con un flujo de inmigrantes ilegales importante y tal y como sucede en África, las mafias de transporte de ilegales están presentes.

We wanted to go to Nepal with our own car and we came to the Bhinga station, to gather information about the journey from here, the city of Bahraich, to the border crossing, which we had been told could be a bit dangerous. The "Bhinga Bus Station" is at the north exit of the city and covers the route between the cities of Bahraich and Bhinga. This last city is the first stop of importance for the buses that come from Nepal; the next stop after Bhinga is Bahraich, city-district capital. The station has become an area with a significant influx of illegal immigrants and, as in Africa, illegal transport mafias are present.
